EDLD 5320 Work
ADL Journey Visual Representation
Learning about the COVA approach has shifted my mindset as a learner. It has changed the way that I interact in my learning environment both personally and professionally. I see the huge benefits of giving learners choice, ownership and voice through authentic learning experiences for myself in this program and want to be able to provide that to the learners I work with. I have allowed COVA to influence my work in professional learning and it has already made an impact. This reflection demonstrates my understanding of the COVA approach and goes into more depth about how I will continue to utilize it moving forward.
My Innovation Plan acted as the foundational authentic project that I developed throughout the ADL program. It was an opportunity to apply each new concept to a unique and personalized project. In this final update I discuss the current state of implementing my Innovation Plan. I also reflect on the process of creating the components, what I learned along the way, and how I plan to continue innovating in the future.
I am leaving the ADL program with a clear vision of how I want to show up in my life as a learner, a leader, and a change-maker. I have gained the knowledge and skills to create significant learning environments, develop goals and plans to reach those goals, be a self-differentiated leader and an agent for change both in my current organization and in any future endeavors. While the experience of engaging fully in the CSLE+COVA learning approach was challenging and uncomfortable at times, I know that this is what led to the depth of learning and application I was able to achieve through the ADL program.
